In December 2019, Big Tuna USA purchased the Pipe Production Machine and the Sock Production Machine from Long Pipes Limited.

The Pipe Production Machine (PPM) and Sock Production Machine (SPM) arrived in the US in February 2020.

Big Tuna USA has established a production facility in New Mexico that uses the stationary PPM to produce long lengths of pipe that are post cured, cut into 50 foot lengths, pressure tested and then have the composite couplings adhrered to the end of each pipe.

Congestion, road crossings and pipe crossovers in the pipeline easements make on-site continuous production difficult so the clients have insisted on 50 foot length pipes.

The first project was for 3900 feet of 12 inch pipe transporting produced water at 16 bar operatung pressure in the Permian Basin in westernTexas. The client was EOG and the project completed in October 2022. BTUSA provided all fittings and flanges for the project.

Joint venture entity is called Big Tuna USA.

This has resulted in significant interest from oil and gas companies in the US target market.
